Application process

For any type of Network Extensions, a request for a quote does not commit you in anyway.

For Network Extensions we will recover only the incremental cost for construction and design of extending the NBN fibre or fixed wireless network for the network extension.

The cost of a Network Extension is dependent on the several factors, including the following:

1. The type and complexity of the Network Extension
2. Local geography
3. Distance from the nearest fibre area
4. Costs of using third party infrastructure
5. Environmental and planning approvals, and
6. The number of applicants sharing a Network Extension.

If you are applying for an Adjacent Fibre Network Extension and your local area is in the NBN Co 12 month rollout plan, you will receive an assessment of your application within four weeks of it being submitted. For Large Fibre Network Extensions and Fixed Wireless Network Extensions will we contact you once your application is received to discuss the feasibility of your application and the associated scope of work.

Once your network extension is complete, you will need to contact an internet or telephone service provider to get connected to the NBN.
