Becoming an NBN service provider

The development of our open access wholesale network is expected to transform the Australian telecommunications industry deliver significant and pervasive economic and social benefits. NBN Co's product approach involves offering one product construct for the fibre, wireless and satellite and one entry-level speed across the technologies for the same wholesale price.

In December, NBN Co published the planned Product Roadmap, Product Components and Pricing Approach to provide Service Providers with detail on NBN Co's product offering.

In addition, we have established a comprehensive onboarding and accreditation process designed to ensure that Service Providers are able to establish their network and confirm interoperability with the NBN effectively and efficiently in a consistent manner across all access networks.

Service Providers must be a licensed carrier, carriage service provider or content service provider, meet NBN Co's credit test requirements and interoperability accreditation requirements to be eligible.

NBN Co understands that not everyone in industry will directly connect with us. We see a role for Wholesale Service Providers to serve other providers who choose not to connect directly with us.
