Our product components
NBN Co has developed a largely uniform product construct across the fibre, wireless and satellite components of the NBN. NBN Co delivers the "access network" portion of the overall network chain and is used for delivering Service Provider's applications and services within the Service Provider's application environment.
Our Access Network features the same four product components across each access network and based on the technology-agnostic Ethernet bitstream framework which can be used by Service Providers as "building blocks" to form part of an end-to-end service. These components are the User Network Interface, Access Virtual Circuit, Connectivity Virtual Circuit and the Network-to-Network Interface.

Additionally, the product construct will operate up to (e.g. data, video and Internet usage and voice for fibre services)1. These four traffic classes are differentiated across a range of performance and availability characteristics, enabling Service Providers to select and dimension the most appropriate traffic type for each category of application.
