Two great options for residential and business users

In keeping with nbn’s network evolution, we’re introducing two nbn Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) connection boxes with either a single Ethernet port or four Ethernet ports, aimed to support Australian homes and businesses. Built to handle nbn’s upcoming wholesale multi-gigabit plans, these connection boxes will become available from September 2025 for new FTTP connections and customers ordering our upcoming multi-gigabit plan, nbn Hyperfast#

FTTP connection box – one port


With a simple, square design, this connection box offers a single Ethernet port (indicated in orange). Capable of supporting multi-gigabit speeds, if you’re a residential or small business customer, this is the option you will most likely receive.

FTTP connection box – four port


As the name suggests, this unit offers four Ethernet ports (indicated in grey: Port 1, and orange: Port 2-4). If you’re a business and require multiple FTTP services, this is the option that you will most likely receive



What type of nbn FTTP connection box do you have?

If your connection box was installed before September 2025, you’re likely to have our previous nbn connection box.
