Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People as the custodians of the lands and waters throughout Australia and their continuing connection to Country.
Partnering with First Nations Australians

We play an essential role in driving digital capability in partnership with First Nations peoples, and exploring how this can help enable the social and economic benefits that access to fast broadband can bring.
nbn's vision for reconciliation is to be deeply engaged and connected with First Nations cultures and aspirations for digital inclusion.
Lifting digital capability, together
nbn is working with First Nations communities and the Australian government to provide free public-space high-speed broadband access across the country, with the community Wi-Fi solutions already available in more than 100 remote First Nations communities.
As part of the recent expansion of this initiative, a First Nations 'Digital Champion' will be appointed in each of the 23 additional communities that will receive Community Wi-Fi, as a paid position to help fellow residents get online, boost their digital literacy skills, and use the nbn® service safely and effectively.
Career paths
We welcome First Nations community members to join nbn. If you need support or have questions, our Talent Acquisition team can help at recruitment@nbnco.com.au
