nbn provides wholesale services to phone and internet providers. nbn wholesale speed tiers available to providers vary depending on the access technology in your area. Your experience, including the speeds actually achieved over the nbn network, depends on the nbn access technology and configuration over which services are delivered to your premises, whether you are using the internet during the busy period, and some factors outside of nbn’s control (like your equipment quality, software, chosen broadband plan, signal reception, or how your provider designs its network).

Where a wholesale speed tier is expressed as a range, these figures show the upper end of that range, which is the maximum theoretical wholesale speed for that speed tier on that access technology. However, the maximum theoretical wholesale speed for a specific premises may be significantly lower.

Regardless of the retail service you purchase, the actual maximum wholesale download speeds delivered to service providers will be less than 1Gbps due to nbn equipment and network limitations. Your experience, including the speeds actually achieved, depends on some factors outside our control (like customer equipment quality, software, and how your provider designs its network) and the nbn technology used for your connection.

Regardless of the retail service you purchase, the actual maximum wholesale download speeds delivered to service providers will fall anywhere in the range of 500Mbps to close to 1Gbps, but will be less than 1Gbps due to nbn equipment and network limitations. In addition, this product will operate with a maximum sustained information rate of 750Mbps. Your experience, including the speeds actually achieved, depends on some factors outside our control (like customer equipment quality, software, and how your provider designs its network) and the nbn technology used for your connection.

The fault restoration times described above are where no site visit is required. Fault rectification time may vary depending on the location of the premises; and all times refer to what we offer to providers – which may differ to what times they offer you. Not all providers offer plans based on the full range of nbn’s enhanced service levels. Not all your faults with a retail service will relate to a fault with the nbn network. Faults may relate to matters in a provider’s network, your premises equipment or network resources being accessed.

Following a service event where a fault is found nbn will continue to monitor the service for 7 calendar days and notify the service provider should further issues occur.
