Operational onboarding

Step 4 of 6

Onboarding to ensure your business operates effectively

The purpose of operational onboarding is to assist and educate your organisation on the key operational components associated with selling nbn's products and services. Secondly, we want to ensure you have the ability to use our portals effectively. These interactions and resources are developed to help lift the learner experience and the capability of your organisation's operational, contact centre and frontline employees.

During the onboarding process, nbn will provide your organisation with various online learning solutions. These include:

  • Digital courses via the nbn® Academy (Learning Management System),
  • Operational User Guides (OUGs) via the nbn® Customer Centre Portal and
  • The opportunity to attend face-to-face workshops facilitated by nbn subject matter experts.

To operate as competently as needed, your organisation will be enrolled and required to complete various online digital courses based on the products and services that you're onboarding for. Completing these courses will contribute to the overall acceptance criteria and finalising your operational onboarding activities.

Once all relevant online digital courses and workshops are completed, onboarding participants will be required to take part in an Operational Accreditation Test (OAT) to evaluate their competency. The test will look at your organisation’s capacity to perform individual tasks, respond to contingencies and effectively interact with nbn systems, processes and portals. Upon successful completion of the OAT, nbn will confirm your organisation’s enablement and authority to order nbn services.

Tips
nbn has invested heavily in Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to help integrate our platforms with your business. Leveraging these APIs can help streamline your business practices.

After completing the online digital courses and workshops, your organisation will be expected to attend and pass an Operational Accreditation Test (OAT). This evaluates your organisation's ability to effectively interact with nbn systems, processes and portals. Once the OAT has been successfully completed, nbn will confirm that your organisation can order nbn products and services via our B2B systems.
