business nbn® Satellite Service

NBN IS WITHDRAWING THE BUSINESS NBN® SATELLITE SERVICE BY DECEMBER 2025

Due to the introduction of alternative technologies and plans, nbn is withdrawing the business nbn Satellite Service product.

While existing customers can continue to use the service until 31 December 2025#, nbn is encouraging service providers and businesses with eligible premises in the satellite footprint to consider nbn Sky Muster Plus Premium to help meet their business needs.^

To assist with this change, nbn is expanding eligibility to allow medium to large businesses and government agencies to access Sky Muster Premium for the first time (provided their business is located within the nbn Sky Muster satellite footprint).

nbn Sky Muster Plus Premium

nbn Sky Muster Plus Premium is our premier satellite service for homes and businesses, offering uncapped data usage for all internet activities and a choice of speeds to suit different needs and budgets.^,*

Talk to a service provider about the satellite solutions available to you.

^Your experience, including speeds, depends on whether you are using the internet during the busy period, concurrent usage, specific locations from time to time and, some factors outside of nbn's control (like your equipment, software or signal reception). You may also experience latency.

#Plans over the business nbn Satellite Service may not be offered by all providers.

*Fair Use Policy and shaping apply. To proactively protect and ensure the fair access to the nbn network for all users, nbn may from time to time, at its discretion, shape the following activities to maximum wholesale upload and download speeds of 256kbps; uploads and downloads via peer to peer; uploads and downloads to cloud storage platforms; PC and smartphone operating system updates; software/application updates; gaming software updates; any other traffic related to applications which nbn cannot identify. Other activity that nbn considers may cause adverse network impacts may also be added to the above list to be shaped, including streaming video and VPN during off-peak periods.
